Recommended types of bird feed:
Apart from Starlings,
the most obvious ground feeders are thrushes, including Blackbirds, robins,
dunnocks, sparrows, finches, doves and pigeons, crows and gulls. Most
other birds, however, will feed on the ground at least on occasion. These
feeders can be filled with a seed mixture, with added
dried fruit, such as raisins and currants.
