you know?
In addition to suet,
peanuts, dried fruit, nuts, bread, berries and crackers will add a delicious
variety for your feathered friends. Providing a bird feeder allows them
to survive the bitter cold and food-poor season, and is a great act
of charity on your part, as well.
Mixed seeds will
entice Doves, Carolina Wrens, Thrashers, Cardinals, Sparrows, Juncos,
Goldfinches, Woodpeckers, Titmice, Chickadees, Nuthatches, White-throated
Sparrows, White Crowned Sparrows, Jays and Purple Finches. If you find
that birds are not visiting your feeder within a few days of setting
it up, try sprinkling seeds on the ground nearby to make the feeder
more obvious.
